Education Adult Study Class - This class studies topics or issues in the Bible in addition to passages in the Bible. The class meets after the early service at 9:30 am and ends at 10:15 am. Sunday School is offered for children from 3 years old through 6th grade. Classes meet September to May from 9:00 to 9:45 am. We offer a one room Sunday School experience for all the children. On the 2nd Sunday of every month there is a "2nd Sunday Club" that meets during Sunday School. All 4th - 6th graders are welcomed at the 2nd Sunday Club. Confirmation - is a 2 year program for 7th/8th graders that meets during the Education Hour on Sunday starting at 8:30 am. Please contact the Pastor for more information. New Member Classes - For all who would like to join membership at Christ the King, the Pastor conducts two classes: An Inquirer's Class is for those of non-Lutheran background and consists of two sessions - the first explains Lutheran teaching; the second (called an Orientation Class) explains the programs, procedures and policies of CTK. For those who have already received instruction in the Lutheran tradition, the Orientation Class is all that is required. First Communion Classes - are offered to anyone in the third grade or above interested in receiving instruction in Holy Communion in anticipation of receiving their First Communion. The class is offered several times throughout the year as there is need. Bible Studies - CTK offers a Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study from 9:00 am to 9:45 am in the kitchen. Childcare available. |
