When Christ the King was reorganized in 2005 per a new mission plan, four distinct teams were created with specific duties and responsibilities:
1) Evangelism
2) Social Ministries
3) Welcoming
4) Fellowship
The basic purpose of the Welcoming Team was to assist new members become integrated into Christ the King faith community. Typical activities include but are not limited to contacting visitors, receptions for new members, providing CTK information packages for new members, and other new member fellowship activities.
After two years into the 2005-2009 mission plan, it became apparent that there were not enough CTK members available to adequately staff the four individual teams. As a result, the four teams were combined into a new ministry team called outreach which carries out the functions of the original four teams.
